Our Caregivers
Working as a caregiver for an agency means that you are considered an employee of SVNA Home Assistance. The benefits of working through an agency is that we cover your workers compensation, liability insurance and we bond and insure you, allowing you the peace of mind that if something were to happen while on shift, you are covered. As an employee, you will be paid on a bi-weekly basis and receive a W2 at the end of the year, leaving you rest assured that you are contributing to social security, medicare and more.
SVNA Home Assistance serves the Northwest Corner of CT, Litchfield County, CT, Farmington Valley, CT and Southern Berkshire County, MA.
We offer our clients tasks that include meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, personal care, hospice respite and more. Experience within this field is not necessary as we do offer in house training and online courses to help you gain the confidence you need to help someone age at home. If you are interested in only doing certain tasks, such as companionship only, we are happy to have you apply with a specific comfort level and find clients that could fit with your preferences.
